Carpet cleaning.

One published rate per room, whatever the room is called. Hallways, landings and walk-in closets are counted as part of the room they open onto rather than billed separately.

Areas

How many carpeted areas?

Set this to zero and continue if you do not want carpet cleaning on this visit.

An area is a single enclosed carpeted room up to roughly 300 square feet. A large master bedroom counts as 2 areas, stairs count as 1, a landing counts as 1, and walk-in closets are free with service. Larger open-plan spaces are measured on site and counted as more than one area; we tell you that before we start, not after.

Cleaning several areas at once? The whole-home carpet specials cover 5, 10 or 12 areas for one price — see the promotions page to book one instead.

The method

Hot-water extraction, in a diagram.

The equipment stays in the vehicle. Heated cleaning solution goes in under pressure through a hose, and the same pass recovers the water and the soil it has loosened.

Diagram of a truck-mounted hot-water extraction circuit. The heater and pressure pump in the service vehicle send heated solution through a supply hose to the cleaning wand; the vacuum and recovery tank pull the used water and soil back through a return hose.

Cross-section

What the pass reaches.

Illustrated cross-section of carpet after cleaning: pile standing upright, soil removed from the backing and padding layers.
Illustrated cross-section of soiled carpet: pile flattened, soil worked down through the fibers into the backing and padding.

  • Furniture that two people can safely move is moved and replaced; heavy or fragile pieces stay where they are and we clean around them.
  • Spots are pre-treated by type where we can identify them. Some marks are permanent changes to the fiber — dye loss, bleach, burns, wear patterns — and cleaning will not reverse those.
  • Drying usually takes a few hours with airflow. We tell you what to expect for your fiber and conditions on the day.

We stand behind the quality of our workmanship and will address concerns related to the agreed scope of service.
